Indonesian Embassy Building

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Seoul is the diplomatic mission of Indonesia to the Republic of Korea. Established in 1973, the embassy serves to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Korea in various fields including politics, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

Our mission is to protect Indonesian citizens in Korea, promote Indonesian culture, and facilitate cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

Appointed as Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea in January 2023. Previously served as Director General for Asia-Pacific and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.

Education: Master's Degree in International Relations from University of Indonesia.

HISTORY OF THE EMBASSY

1973

Establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and South Korea. The embassy was initially located in central Seoul.

1988

Moved to current location in Yeouido to accommodate growing bilateral relations.

2005

Major renovation completed to modernize embassy facilities.

2017

Celebrated 45 years of diplomatic relations with special cultural events.

2023

50th anniversary of diplomatic relations marked by high-level visits and economic agreements.
